» Following the collapse of the Soviet Union and China’s economic transformation, many proclaimed socialism obsolete and Western capitalism victorious. However, pressing global challenges—climate change, income inequality, authoritarian regimes, and human rights abuses—urge us to reconsider: Is our current economic and social structure the only viable model, or do alternative pathways exist for a more just and sustainable world? This session seeks to challenge conventional wisdom, explore diverse perspectives, and spark a meaningful dialogue on these critical issues.
