Be careful when choosing an improper integral for the comparison test (example 1)

Can we use the comparison test with the improper integral of 1/x from 1 to inf or the improper integral of 1/e^x from 1 to inf to show if the improper integral of 1/(x+e^x) from 1 to infinity converges or not?
