Join Dawn and Midnight as they meet for the first time

We're live from our Vietnam sanctuary as our bear care team integrates recently rescued moon bears Dawn and Midnight. After 20 years alone in a cage, neither of them have met another bear before. Dawn and Midnight's carers have been working with them every day since we rescued them in February to build up their mental and physical strength. As with any integration of bears at sanctuary, we don't know exactly how it will go, but we're cautiously confident that these two old ladies will get on quite well! What happens next? If the integration goes well, we'll introduce Twilight, another bear who was on the bile farm with Dawn and Midnight, to the group. Once they're all comfortable with each other we will open the doors of their dens to the outside and they will take their first steps onto grass. They will then have full enclosure access where they can play, forage, climb, swim or nap as much as they like, whenever they like.
