Samara city: despite most vehicles are old, is one of the best urban transport system in Russia!

The city of Samara is located a two-hour flight east of Moscow, with a population of just over a million people. This city has all types of public transport. The metro leads from nowhere to nowhere, since some of the necessary stations were not built before the collapse of the USSR, and underground trains travel once every 15 minutes. The tram network is well developed: there are many routes, and almost all trams travel on it as two-car trains. Trolleybuses in Samara are old, but very well maintained and look as if they are transporting transport fans at a festive event, rather than passengers around the city. Urban electric transport in Samara is so developed that people actually use it every day! The route network covers a significant part of the city, everything runs quickly (except for some streets where the tram rails are very bad), intervals are short, and the rolling stock looks more decent than in some larger Russian cities.
