We had a lot of fun and even dressed up in period costumes 😎 Let's go? ❤ Additional information: By choosing the "Way of St. James" as the theme for the Medieval Fair in Caminha, the Caminha City Hall explains that "it was common for Christians in medieval times to make a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela during their lifetime, a practice that monarchs of all kingdoms were keen to undertake. In this edition, we will recreate the pilgrimage of Queen Saint Isabel to Santiago de Compostela. The queen carried out two pilgrimages to Santiago (1325 and 1335), and according to the route followed, she may have passed through Caminha in 1325, before reaching Leonese lands."
