This is a commentary video of my onboard footage from the Fuji Hill Climb 2026, where I rode in the lead group as the first runner in the third wave. The video explains my pacing on the day and my preparations leading up to the race. My result was 67 minutes and 54 seconds. I was just 2 minutes and 55 seconds short of my goal of breaking 65 minutes (gold), resulting in a disappointing silver ring. However, I believe that the pace changes of the lead group and the reasons for my defeat—what I lacked to achieve it—will provide many hints for those seriously aiming for gold (under 65 minutes) or silver (under 75 minutes) in the next competition. This time, I'm releasing all the data from the ride.
