Costco tour for Europeans, Aussies, Hispanics and Japanese [Part 1]

For those in Europe, Australia, Latin America and Asia who could not make it to the FIFA 2026 games here in America and missed out on what your compatriots have experienced while entering an iconic American institution, I have made these two videos showing what a typical Costco Wholesale store looks like and how it operates. As the name implies, these stores are wholesale places where you can buy big ticket items such as Coke Cola sodas, Tide detergents, HP laptops, gas and imported goods at steep discounts. Costco also has its own brand name, Kirkland, on many of its products. Costco also provides services like vacation packets, tire changes, kitchen remodels and filtered water delivery. There is also a food court. You do have to buy one of these annual memberships to enter: 1) Executive at $130, 2) Gold Start at $65 or 3) Business at $65. Membership is checked electronically at the entrance as we will see in the first video. (Fun fact: most of Costco's profit is from the membership fees). After getting what you want to buy, you have to line up at either the self-check up or regular lines. Remember to keep the receipt to present when you leave. If you do not have the receipt, the store associates will ask for proof of purchase as you will also see in the second video. In addition to the low cost savings, Costco gives an end of the year Rewards Certificate to each member. The more you buy, the bigger the amount. I hope you will learn a lot about this important American wholesale business. Please let me know what you think of Costco and feel free to ask any question you have. I would love to answer any question you have. Have fun as you explore American culture and society!
