Essaouira is a small fishing village on the coast of Morocco. The beach here runs from the fishing harbour all the way along the edges of the town and stretches off down the coastline. This recording I made the morning after I had arrived to this town. I hadn't been down on the beach yet and was really just recording my morning walk exploring what the beach had to offer. There are a few other people taking morning walks or runs along the beach at this time. There are also a few occasions where I am joined/chased by a couple of stray dogs. The sounds in this recording include ocean waves, people walking by, footsteps stepping through the shallow waters of the shorebreak and the occasional seagull overhead. The beach is very flat and pretty featureless so this walk is quite a simple half hour stroll along the beach at sunrise.
