One of the greatest misconceptions in Christianity is that salvation automatically produces dependence upon God. Scripture teaches otherwise. Israel was delivered from Egypt, yet their hearts remained dependent upon Egypt's system. They left Egypt physically long before Egypt left them mentally. God never intended to simply save people from sin; He intended to free them from every worldly system that competes with His Kingdom. The journey from Egypt to Canaan was not merely geographical—it was psychological, spiritual, governmental, and relational. Likewise, every believer must go through a process where worldly dependence dies and Kingdom dependence is born. This series demonstrates that God's primary objective is not merely changing behavior but changing sources. The central question becomes: Where does your life draw its strength?
