The Sidoarjo Regency Health Office, through the Waru Community Health Center (Puskesmas), in collaboration with the Indonesian Family Planning Association (PKBI) of East Java, held a Mobile Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) activity at the YPP Al Kholiqi Social Rehabilitation Center for Drug Addicts on Jalan Brigjen Katamso II Kedungrejo, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, on Friday (May 29, 2026). This activity is part of the Global Fund (GF) New Funding Model Project implemented by PKBI East Java to support HIV/AIDS prevention and response programs. Through the Mobile VCT service, participants gain access to HIV testing, health counseling, and comprehensive education on HIV transmission prevention. This program specifically targets key populations at higher risk for HIV transmission, including people who inject drugs (PWID). The presence of direct health services in the social rehabilitation environment is expected to increase access to early detection and strengthen efforts to prevent the spread of HIV in the community. The Director of YPP Al Kholiqi Social Rehabilitation for Drug Addicts, Sayyid Abdullah, S.H.I., expressed his appreciation for the event. He stated that the healthcare services provided by the Waru Community Health Center and the East Java PKBI (Indonesian Community Empowerment Association) are of significant benefit to patients, enabling them to identify their health conditions early.
