Perhokalastusta Läsäkoskella

We visited the Läsäkoski rapids that flow into Lake Puula on three separate occasions. The first time was during the February Red season at the end of March, the next time at the end of May, and the third time at the end of the summer. In March, we were joined at the river by Jyrki Hiltunen, who is one of the members of Fly Fishing Team Finland. Take a look at Jyrki's Instagram photos here:   / jyrkihil   In May, we were joined by fishermen Joel Niemi and Jerkko Ahtinen, who acted as our guide. Läsäkoski is both a fishing area and an important spawning location for the Puula trout, because it produces a lot of trout from natural spawn. Every autumn, voluntary renovation projects are organized to keep the rapids in shape. Trout fly fishing is possible in Läsäkoski from March to the end of September, because it is a special fishing area.
