Maja S. K. Ratkje’s improvisation is exploring the boundary between language and music, between unheard sounds and vocalisation. Using software, she is able to manipulate her live vocal input in realtime into a whole orchestra of sounds and textures. Intriguing and provoking, never boring! The performing composer Maja S. K. Ratkje is at the forefront of the musical avant-garde. Despite its boldness and originality, her music is meant for sharing.
