REPLAY OF NACHOS S4E20 - The Leap of Faith: Kierkegaard, AI & Accessibility

Join us for a replay of this week’s *NACHOS — Neuro-Affirming Conversation Hour for Outreach & Support* as we reflect on Kierkegaard, truth, accessibility, AI, and the leap of faith required to imagine a more humane world. This episode begins with the quote often attributed to Søren Kierkegaard: *“There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”* From there, we explore what it means to question inherited assumptions, test what we believe to be “normal,” and imagine better designs for classrooms, workplaces, communities, and everyday life. We also connect these ideas to the HUM 101 final project, where students are asked to identify a barrier, imagine a micro-accommodation, and present their ideas through a format that works for them. We discuss how AI can be used thoughtfully as a tool, a scaffold, and even a micro-accommodation — while still keeping human judgment, care, and voice at the center. Along the way, we introduce Kierkegaard’s ideas about the **knight of faith**, the **absurd**, and the leap of faith it takes to keep believing in possibility when the world tells us possibility is foolish. As always, this episode closes with affirmations, community, and a reminder that access is not extra, rest is revolutionary, and you are not a machine.
