This time, we're adding a separate subsystem built around a Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 48/5000 inverter with a capacity of 5000 VA. Why are we doing this? There are several reasons. First and foremost, we want to enable charging of the energy storage unit from a single-phase generator. This allows us to power the system from the generator in an emergency, even if the main system is operating in a three-phase configuration. But that's not all. This additional inverter will also power the technical room where the entire energy storage unit is located, as well as a small single-phase heat pump. The goal is very simple: regardless of what's happening on the grid side and in what mode the system is operating—whether as a hybrid or in island mode—a stable 230V voltage must always be available on this circuit. In practice, this means creating something like an online UPS, where the energy storage itself acts as a separator and energy buffer. It's also worth emphasizing one important thing: this additional inverter is connected only on the DC side, i.e., to the battery. It has no direct connection to the public grid at any point.
