From Old Cabin to Modern Escape: A Quiet Transformation in the Alps

Designed with sensitivity to its protected natural surroundings, including a bird sanctuary and climbing area, the project emphasizes minimal intervention while maintaining a strong connection to the landscape. Drawing from traditional Alpine architecture, the cabin uses a restrained material palette and compact spatial organization to balance functionality with simplicity. Rather than replicating the past, it reinterprets it—blending heritage and contemporary design into a quiet, context-driven structure that prioritizes environmental respect, precise detailing, and a deep integration with its dramatic setting.
