La carretera de Alaska es una de las rutas legendarias de Norteamérica. Fue construída por el ejército de EE.UU. en 1942 (en sólo 9 meses), justo antes de la 2ª Guerra Mundial con el objetivo de abastecer Alaska por tierra, a través de Canadá (Columbia Británica y Yucón). Al día de hoy los 2,232 km. de esta bellísima ruta se encuentra completamente asfaltados. One of the epic journeys on North America. Built by the U.S. Army in 1942 (in just 9 months), at the heigh of World War 2, with the goal of supplying Alaska by land, through Canada (British Columbia and Yukon). Today the 1,387 miles of this beautiful route are fully paved.
