Lion Whittling Tutorial | How to Capture Likeness in Small-Scale Whittling

This video is a tutorial for making a lion's face, but more importantly, it's an exercise in capturing the likeness, or the essence of a lion, in a simplified way, suitable for small-scale whittling. This project is more demanding than most of my recent tutorials. However, head shape is simple and relatively quick to make, which means that this is a great opportunity for practicing detailed carving, without needing to spend ages on the big basic shapes.
