“As bestas” de Rodrigo Sorogoyen : le face-à-face critique de Télérama

For our two critics, this is the must-see film of late July. Led by an impressive trio of actors (Denis Ménochet, Marina Foïs, and Luis Zahera), and brilliantly directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, the chilling thriller "As bestas" will give your summer a real chill. Denis Ménochet, down-to-earth, and Marina Foïs, icy, star in "As bestas," Rodrigo Sorogoyen's powerful new thriller. The two actors play a French couple who have moved to Galicia, a rural region of Spain, to grow organic tomatoes. But their eco-friendly project has prevented the installation of wind turbines on their land, which would have allowed neighboring farmers to quickly become wealthy. What initially seemed like a simple neighborhood dispute ultimately becomes an eco-thriller, even a tragedy of class struggle, in which the tension steadily mounts. Spanish director Rodrigo Sorogoyen once again demonstrates his directing talents in this feature film presented in the Cannes Premiere section of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. A film which, according to our critics, would have more than deserved its place in Competition. Did you enjoy this video? Subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / @telerama   Find us on social media!
