I decided to take the Mathematics Proficiency Test. I passed the Level Pre-1 Mathematics Proficiency Test on my first try, but failed the Level 1 test seven times in a row. At the time, there were hardly any Level 1 practice books available, and I was at a loss as to how to prepare and nearly gave up many times. After recovering from my broken spirit, I finally passed Level 1 on my eighth try. I was so happy I almost cried.
