Lecții gratuite de resuscitare și prim ajutor în centrul civic din Reșița

The civic center of the municipality of Reșița became, for one day, a true space of education for life, with the holding of the second edition of the “Resuscitation Marathon”, an event dedicated to learning first aid and resuscitation techniques. The action was organized by the Department for Emergency Situations, the SMURD Foundation, the Semenic Emergency Situations Inspectorate and UPU Reșița, with the main objective of raising awareness of the importance of rapid intervention in emergency situations. Addressed to all age groups, the event was designed especially for people without medical training, offering them the chance to learn, in an accessible and interactive way, essential maneuvers that can make the difference between life and death. Under the guidance of specialists in the field of emergency interventions, participants took part in practical workshops and demonstrations, where they practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, providing first aid and the correct way to react in case of critical situations. During the activities, those present learned how important it is that the first minutes after an incident are used effectively and how a prompt intervention, carried out even by a witness on the scene, can considerably increase a victim's chances of survival until the arrival of medical teams. Through its success and the growing interest of the community, the Resita Resuscitation Marathon has become one of the most important educational events dedicated to first aid in the west of the country. The initiative aims to form a community better prepared for emergency situations and to demonstrate that each person can become a potential savior when they know what to do. Participation in the event was free, and the organizers encouraged as many citizens as possible to take advantage of this opportunity to acquire knowledge that, at some point, can save a life.
