BART Legacy Fleet Decommissioning
BART is ramping up the retirement of old train cars, which are being sustainably recycled, to make room for more new Fleet of the Future train cars. Some train cars will be offered to the public for possible uses for artwork, first responder training, or pop-up retail spaces. BART is doing outreach to spread the word about how to make a successful proposal. The formal call for proposals will be January 2021
