T 17 Carbon Microphone Replacement
The T-17 was a popular carbon microphone used on a variety of WW2 Transmitters, Ground, Mobile and Airborne. This simple circuit also can be adapted to insert into other carbon microphone housings such as the RS-38A aircraft microphone. It adds talk power and requires no modifications to your military set. The Replacement utilizes the bias that the radio provides for the Carbon Microphone. Radios including the BC-375, BC-191, ART-13, GRC-9, ARC-2, Collins 18S, 618T, ARC-5 MD-7 Control Box, BC-653, BC1306, TCS and many other will accept this upgraded microphone.
