Yongle: "Perpetual Happiness". During his 22 years on the throne, the Ming dynasty's 3rd emperor, son of its founder, would bring the empire to its golden age. Under the second half of his reign, Yongle would restore the Grand Canal, send his admiral Zheng He as far as modern-day Kenya, and more significantly, build the Forbidden City, making Beijing the Ming's new capital city. Yet, trouble would begin to appear in northern Vietnam, integrated as Jiaozhi province, and Mongolia, to which the emperor would personally lead 3 more campaigns, where he would ultimately meet his end...
