The Governor's Cup Reindeer Herders' Competition in Nadym is the most prestigious competition for the indigenous northerners. It attracts nomads from all over the district. The 27th reindeer herders' rally is hosting a record number of teams – 19 this year. That's around 200 athletes who will be vying for the Governor's Cup. This isn't just a team competition; each athlete is competing for the title of the strongest in the district.
