The Loss of Reality in Neurosis and Psychosis (GRWM for church ep. 103)

@babygurllans In today’s episode of get ready with me for church, I will be talking about a paper called The loss of reality in neurosis and psychosis by Sigmund Freud. In this paper, Freud talks about what the difference is between the way in which the psychotic and the neurotic disavow reality. He uses the example of a woman who is secretly in love with her brother-in-law, whose sister dies, and how she is trying to repress these romantic feelings towards her brother-in-law. He explains what a neurotic response and a psychotic response would be in relation to this. Thanks for watching. Source: Freud, S. (1961). The loss of reality in neurosis and psychosis (J.
