Ke:Míng Longa Observed at Komsing, Hon'ble MLA Ojing Tasing Pledges Development Initiatives Komsing, March 31, 2025: The historic event Ke:Míng Longa – “Insurrection Day to glorify our heroes” – was commemorated at Komsing Riné Déré, organized by the Komi Gumin Development Committee (KGDC) in collaboration with the Adi Mirror Forum. The event aimed to honor the brave hearts of the land and reflect on their sacrifices. The occasion was graced by Hon’ble MLA of 35-Pangin (ST), Shri Ojing Tasing, as the Chief Guest, along with Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Corporation & Transportation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Deputy Director of Tourism, Mrs. Bengia Manna, attended as the Guest of Honour. Several distinguished guests, including Dr. Ashan Riddi, Professor at RGU; Dr. David Gao, Assistant Professor at RGU; and Shri T.K. Kopak, DTO West Siang, were also present. During his address, Hon’ble MLA Ojing Tasing assured the villagers that he is committed to improving the road conditions of Komsing and ensuring better connectivity for the people. He further expressed his vision to transform Komsing into a prominent tourist destination, provided the villagers support the initiative. Guest of Honour, Mrs. Bengia Manna, delivered an insightful speech, raising awareness about the importance of homestays in promoting tourism. She also elaborated on various government schemes that could aid in boosting local tourism and economic opportunities for the villagers.
