Putin's Return and the U.S.-Russia Reset

On May 7, Vladimir Putin began his third term as president of the Russian Federation. With the Russian political season over, and the American political season heating up, what are the implications of political transition for the important issues in the U.S.-Russian bilateral relationship? This event featured a keynote address by former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was joined by a panel featuring David Kramer, President of Freedom House; Nina Khrushcheva, Professor, Graduate Program of International Affairs at The New School; and Blair Ruble, Director of the Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute. Susan Glasser, Editor in Chief of Foreign Policy magazine, served as moderator, and opening remarks were delivered by Michael Van Dusen, Executive Vice President and COO, Wilson Center.
