Ojeda had to be interrupted by the judge, who clarified that it was not a trial. What was striking about the hearing was that the woman spoke as if she were actually a doctor. Meanwhile, César López, one of Ojeda's defense attorneys, requested on Wednesday that two of the pretrial detention orders issued against her be overturned, arguing that they lacked sufficient grounds. López explained that during the hearing before Judge Mariana Benítez, they presented their grievances against the decision of the prosecutor of Criminal Investigation No. 3 and requested their client's release or, alternatively, that the measure be replaced with house arrest. "We presented all the reasons why we believe the pretrial detentions are incorrect and requested that they be overturned," the lawyer stated.
