Big changes on way for BFBS TV line-up 25.03.13
BFBS TV is about to undergo some big changes to give viewers in overseas locations more live TV and greater choice. From Wednesday 27th March the existing BFBS TV schedules will be enhanced with eight core channels, including live television from BBC One, BBC Two, ITV and Sky News. The brand new BFBS Sport channel features the best coverage from ESPN, Sky, BT and Eurosport, while Sky Sports 1 and 2 will be shown on two further channels. BFBS Extra is also a fresh addition to the schedule, showcasing popular programmes from Channel 4, Channel 5, Watch and Dave, plus selected content from Discovery Channel, National Geographic, ITV2, 3 and 4, the History Channel and Sky Atlantic. BFBS TV's 30-mniute flagship news programme, British Forces News, will be broadcast every weekday on BFBS Extra, and Forces News will also be shown on the Sky News channel from the second half of 2013. Younger BFBS TV viewers can choose from more live television as BFBS Kids is replaced by daytime broadcasts of CBBC and CBeebies. BFBS TV viewers will need to rescan their TV satellite or cable box and this should not be done until the changeover on Wednesday, 27th March. On that date there will be full details about how to rescan your box online at www.bfbs.com/rescan You can view the new daily schedules online via www.bfbs.com/tv/whats_on_tv.php by clicking on the 'Look Ahead' list on the left side of the page.
