Szczygły Syberyjskie – Moja Hodowla, Moja Pasja

A Description of My Breeding and Approach to Bird Breeding, Especially Siberian Goldfinches For me, bird breeding is much more than just a passion – it's a way of life that shapes my daily life, my decisions, and my perspective on the beauty of nature. Siberian Goldfinches (Carduelis carduelis major) hold a special place in my heart – birds of extraordinary elegance, fierce instincts, and a profound, noble gaze. In my breeding, I place the greatest emphasis on quality, not quantity. I particularly value natural birds – their wildness, authenticity, and excellent markings. I believe these are the foundation of all responsible breeding. Natural birds serve as the benchmark for all color mutations. Without them, it is impossible to maintain the typical markings, feather structure, and body proportions of mutation birds. The balance between beauty and genetics is key for me. Breeding isn't just about obtaining new mutations – it's also, and perhaps above all, about preserving the original character of the species. That's why it's so important to me to maintain and develop natural bird lines—while respecting their heritage, temperament, and unique charm. My goal isn't quick success, but rather the creation of stable breeding lines that will serve future generations of breeders. I share my knowledge, experience, and observations, believing that collaborative work within the breeding community can yield lasting and beautiful results—both in competitions and in everyday birding.
