Music
Contrary to popular belief, not all Indians used drums for music. Southern California Indians perform music called Bird Songs with gourd rattles. The Bird Songs tell of the creation, animals seen during the migration of the birds, and other important narratives. Students will listen to and partake in bird singing and dancing.
