switzerland Motorhome Tour: 5 Mountain Passes in 5 Days 🇨🇭 Five days, five spectacular mountain passes and unforgettable moments in the Swiss Alps – join us on one of our most scenic motorhome adventures! From quiet overnight stops and breathtaking Alpine roads to crystal-clear mountain lakes and stunning panoramic views, this journey takes us across some of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain passes. And of course, our Golden Retriever Dayo is with us every step of the way. Our route starts in Vättis and continues over the Flüela Pass, Bernina Pass (2,330 m), Julier Pass, San Bernardino Pass and finally the legendary Tremola on the Gotthard Pass. Along the way we discover incredible landscapes, scenic campsites and hidden gems before finishing our adventure at beautiful Lake Brienz, where Dayo enjoys his very first paddleboard experience. --- Our journey begins with a peaceful overnight stay in Vättis before heading up to the Flüela Pass. Here we stop at the famous Grand Tour of Switzerland photo spot and take a break beside a beautiful mountain lake where Dayo can't resist jumping into the water. Next we reach the Bernina Pass at 2,330 metres above sea level. Surrounded by glaciers, mountain peaks and alpine lakes, this is one of the highlights of our trip before continuing across the windy Julier Pass. After spending the night at a quiet camper stop in Rona, we continue over the San Bernardino Pass and visit the picturesque Laghetto Moesola while learning about the history of this famous Alpine crossing. Originally, we planned to visit the Verzasca Valley, but with temperatures reaching around 37°C we decided to change our plans for Dayo's comfort. Instead, we drove the historic Tremola, the original cobblestone road leading to the Gotthard Pass. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire journey, followed by an unforgettable overnight stay high in the Swiss Alps. Before heading home, we spend some relaxing time at Lake Brienz.
