Día 1: Lima a Huancaya en XR 200 Advance — Entre Curvas y Quebradas (Parte 1/8) 🏍️🌄

📍 Day 1 – Heading to Huancaya on the XR 200 Advance 🚀 We left Lima at 8:00 pm, ready to face the night and the route that would take us to San Vicente de Cañete. As soon as we set off, the city was left behind, and we began to feel that roadside atmosphere that only those of us who ride know: cold wind, darkness, the sound of engines… and that spirit of adventure that pushes you to keep going. ☕ First stop: San Vicente de Cañete In Cañete, we stopped for a hot coffee. This valley is known as “The Cradle of Pisco” and a land of Afro-Peruvian history. Here, in the past, travelers crossing the coast towards the highlands would rest before climbing… and we continued that biker tradition! 🏍️ The night route: Lunahuaná – Pacarán Back on the road, we continued through Lunahuaná, famous for its river ideal for rafting and its traditional wineries. The road here gets more fun: wide curves, good asphalt, and a cool breeze that wakes anyone up. Then we pass through Pacarán, a small but vibrant valley, beloved by motorcyclists for its peaceful route and agricultural landscapes. 🍳 Breakfast in Catahuasi After several hours riding under the stars, we arrive in Catahuasi. This little town is a classic stop for those traveling to Huancaya: quiet, welcoming, and perfect for a good breakfast before continuing the climb. Motorcyclist tip: Catahuasi is one of the last key places to rest before entering colder areas with narrower roads on the way to the Nor Yauyos-Cochas Landscape Reserve. 🔥 Join me on this nighttime adventure through curves, stories, and landscapes, heading towards one of the most beautiful routes in Peru.
