POS-KUPANG.COM - The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force arrested Konara Enumbi, a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), in Usir Depan Village, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Friday (August 15, 2025) at around 10:40 a.m. WIT. Konara is known to be part of the Yambi KKB force under the leadership of Tengah Mati Enumbi, the Yambi Regional Military Command Commander. He is strongly suspected of involvement in the murder of Brigadier General Ronald Enok in Lima-Lima Village, Pagaleme District, as well as in several shootings of security forces in the area. "Law enforcement against perpetrators of armed crimes will be carried out as firmly as possible. There will be no room for perpetrators of violence who threaten the security and safety of the community or security forces in Papua. This arrest is part of our continued commitment to maintaining security stability," stated Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, on Saturday (August 16). During the arrest, officers secured evidence in the form of a Yamaha Vixion 150 motorcycle, a noken (head mount), a brown jacket, and three packages of betel nuts. Konara has been taken to the Puncak Jaya Police Station for further legal proceedings.
