Sumur in Ladakh in Nubra Valley a mini documentary with ambient sound. Sumur is a small village in the Nubra valley of Ladakh of India. It is 150km north of Leh and the bus route goes over a high mountain pass.The valley is popular with touists with the biggest attraction being riding a double humped Bactrian in a landscape with sand dunes and snow capped mountains. I visited the Silk Route Festival with women in traditional clothes doing dances. Men do a archery contest outside the tent.
