It combines traditional elements with Taylor's innovative features. The base models come with a pair of high-definition humbuckers, but mini-humbuckers and vintage alnicos are also available. The guitar has a three-way switching system that allows players to switch between neck/bridge, neck-only, and bridge-only positions. Additionally, the coil-splitting function (activated by pulling up on the volume knob) enables players to switch to a brighter single-coil sound instantly. The T3 is available in two versions: the standard T3 with a stoptail bridge and the T3/B, which features a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece for smooth pitch control.
