One of the most important traditions in this municipality is "El tendido de Cristos" (The Laying of Christs), which takes place on Good Friday. This tradition is unique in Mexico. 44 houses in the old neighborhood of La Fecha are transformed into chapels where a ritual of worship to Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, is performed.
