Robert Nanala Tjapaljarri is a Senior Kukatja-Pintupi Man. His family are from Kukatja-Pintupi country near Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay) in the desert of Western Australia. He was born in Old Balgo Mission in 1959, and his parents were born on Country - being First Contact (the first generation of their tribe to encounter white settlers.).
