Robert Nanala - artist from Halls Creek, in the northern desert of Western Australia - part 1
Robert Nanala Tjapaljarri is a Senior Kukatja-Pintupi Man. His family are from Kukatja-Pintupi country near Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay) in the desert of Western Australia. He was born in Old Balgo Mission in 1959, and his parents were born on Country - being First Contact (the first generation of their tribe to encounter white settlers.). He is an acclaimed artists, with works in major galleries around the world. The images shown in this film are from the website of @blackstumpgallery based in Broome.
