LIYSF 2026 | Opening Ceremony for the 67th London International Youth Science Forum

Join us for the 67th London International Youth Science Forum Opening Ceremony, with over 450 students attending in-person and online from 90 countries! Our keynote speaker is Nobel Prize Winner, Professor John O'Keefe from University College London! Professor John O'Keefe is Director of the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour at University College London. He was awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, together with May-Britt and Edvard Moser, for discovering the brain's positioning system. His pioneering research identified "place cells" in the hippocampus, revealing how the brain creates an internal map that enables navigation and spatial memory. A leading figure in cognitive neuroscience, Professor O'Keefe has received numerous international honours, including the Kavli Prize, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences.
