In our 15th episode, we follow Tsuyoshi Tajima, a sweetfish angler who has honed his skills in the turbulent, rough currents of the Kuma River. We report on his attempt to catch a giant sweetfish well over 100cm long at the Kuma River towards the end of the 2021 season. Tajima describes the 2021 Kuma River as the worst in terms of both numbers and size in his 27 years of frequenting the river. With few sweetfish with their own territories, Tajima sought out the romance of the rough currents by using a variety of sinkers. This program aired on January 15, 2022.
