#1000 Dead or Alive 5 LR (PC) Guest Characters (5/8): Rachel playthrough.

A playthrough of the guest character Rachel in the PC port of Tecmo/Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. 1000 VIDEOS HOLY FUCK. Nearly four years at this now, it’s just crazy. Also crazy to think most of you regular viewers have been watching for 2 to 3 years now; it's certainly been a while. A very DOA character herself, Rachel was introduced as a major character in the Xbox reboot of Ninja Gaiden. Busty and scantily-clad like most DOA characters, she makes for an understandably pretty good fit here, and in general is just a pretty decent character. The more keen-eyed of you will notice that, of all playstyles, she actually takes Nicole/Spartan-458’s moveset from DOA4. It’s a great moveset, mostly being made up of moves from Leon and Bayman, but it does look a little bit silly to have Rachel of all characters using it. For Nicole, it worked because she was a goddamn superhuman who could easily smash things into oblivion by strength alone. With Rachel however, well, she’s not exactly a body-builder. Strong, certainly, but this honestly makes me think more of how SNK is obsessed with making female grapplers who are somehow able to lift people many times their own body weight, with no reasonable explanation for it. Rachel therefore is a pretty great addition, and damn did it take a while for this series to include other Ninja Gaiden characters, but I do find her implementation a bit on the strange side, and perhaps more an inclusion for the sake of it rather than anything else.
