Only 3 of US tried this line, the REST Turned BACK | Hatfield-McCoy Trails

Last fall we loaded up the machines and headed south to the mountains of West Virginia for a trip we’ll never forget. What started as a riding trip turned into one of the best off-road adventures we’ve ever had thanks to the incredible crew from Not Done Yet Adventures and an amazing stay at Ashland Resort. From the moment we arrived, Ashland Resort set the bar high. Everything a rider could want is right there on site — fuel, a car wash to knock the mud off after a long day on the trails, a well-stocked general store, and an awesome restaurant that kept us fueled up with great meals after hours of riding. The accommodations were easily some of the best we’ve seen anywhere in the off-road world, making it the perfect basecamp for a week of adventure. But the real highlight of this trip wasn’t just the resort — it was the people. Riding with the crew from Not Done Yet Adventures meant nonstop laughs, great stories around the table, and the kind of riding buddies you feel like you’ve known for years even if you just met. Trips like this remind you how strong the off-road community is, and we walked away with friendships that will last a lifetime. During the trip we explored the legendary Hatfield-McCoy Trails — one of the most iconic trail networks in the world for UTV and ATV riding. Over the course of the adventure we covered hundreds of miles of trails across multiple systems including the rugged terrain of Indian Ridge Trail System, the scenic and technical routes of Pinnacle Creek Trail System, and the beautiful mountain trails of the Pocahontas Trail System. A huge part of making this trip run smoothly was the navigation setup generously sponsored by the amazing team at Getting Outdoors with Mike and Yvonne. Their tablet systems and mapping software were absolutely incredible. The trail maps were clear, easy to follow, and packed with useful information about trail routes and points of interest across the Hatfield-McCoy system. Not only did the system keep us on track all week, it made exploring new trails stress-free. Whether we were navigating deep into the mountains, finding scenic overlooks, or heading back to the resort after a full day of riding, the tablets guided us perfectly. We never got lost… or at least not when we didn’t want to! Every ride ended with us finding our way right back to Ashland Resort without any guesswork. If you’re planning a trip to Hatfield-McCoy or any big trail system, this kind of navigation setup makes a massive difference. From rocky climbs and deep mud holes to breathtaking mountain views, every mile delivered something different. Long days behind the wheel, great food, late-night laughs, and unforgettable riding made this one of those trips you wish you could rewind and do all over again. This video series captures the adventure, the machines, the trails, and the amazing people who made it all possible. If you’ve ever wondered what riding the Hatfield-McCoy trails is really like — or you’re planning your own UTV or side-by-side trip to West Virginia — you’re going to love this series. New friends, epic trails, and memories we’ll be talking about for years.
