Alaska Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Departing Seattle for Inaugural Flight to Rome

On April 28th, 2026 I flew with Alaska Airlines on their inaugural flight from Seattle to Rome. This is significant because it is Alaska’s first flight to Europe, and the first time in history that any airline has gone from Seattle to Rome. There was a little celebration at the gate, and as seen in the video, we were given a water cannon salute. Onboard we were also given small gift bags. Flight info: AS 180 SEA-FCO
