This is a rewarding journey of approximately 4-5km (estimated to take approximately 2-2.5 hours)! ✅ 1. Depart from Korea University Station & Hongneung Arboretum (History & Healing) Korea University Station Exit 3: Stock up on supplies at a GS25 convenience store! Pass Sejong the Great Intersection and head toward the National Institute of Forest Science! Hongneung Arboretum: Empress Myeongseong's Tomb Site: Emperor Gojong of the Joseon Dynasty and This historic site once housed Empress Myeongseong's tomb. Each tree here holds a history. Korea's first arboretum: Discover over 2,000 plant species that showcase their unique charms throughout the four seasons. ★ Important! Opening Hours: Weekdays are restricted for research purposes, and open only on weekends and public holidays! (Summer 9:00-18:00, Winter 9:00-17:00) Be sure to check before visiting! ✅ 2. Path to Cheonjangsan Mountain & Woodworking Workshop (A Unique Experience) The Cheonjangsan Woodworking Workshop is located approximately 200m to the left of the Hongneung Arboretum exit! Take a moment to relax and feel the warmth of the trees! Cheonjangsan Mountain Entrance: Past the Woodworking Workshop, the stairs begin with a sign for the "Cheonjangsan Mountain Path"! ✅ 3. Cheonjangsan Mountain Entrance & Hidden Skyway (Challenge & Nature) Entry: Narrow path, steep stairs, and repeated uphill and downhill sections! It's important to stay hydrated during summer hikes to avoid unexpected physical strain. I felt it so desperately! (Plenty of water!) Cheonjangsan Sky Trail: A secret forest path in the city, a gentle slope leads you to this one. You'll be completely immersed in the illusion that the sky is getting closer. ✅ 4. Cheonjangsan Summit & Observatory (Highlights) Highlight Climb: The steepest climb of the day appears at the end of the hidden Sky Trail! You'll be panting as you climb, but soon... Cheonjangsan Summit: Unfortunately, the actual summit is located within a military base and is not open to the public. Observatory: But don't be disappointed! The stunning observatory, which serves as the summit, rewards your efforts with panoramic views of the city. ✅ 5. Descent & Course Finish (Easy Path) Easy descent from the observatory via the deck stairs! Follow the signs and head straight toward Dolmoe Children's Park!
