I’m trying this vlog style of content and would love to hear if you’re enjoying it. In this video, I’m sharing some vlog-style content of me doing a balayage on our client, Macy. This is still an educational video targeted at hair apprentices and any stylist looking to up-skill with some free hair education for hairstylists. I haven’t seen Macy for quite a few years. She has incredibly long, very full hair, and I needed to start the process of building lightness in. I used my usual balayage foil combination placement, but I got a little mixed up with my powder light formula. I thought it was what my girls were always using, but it turns out it was slightly off. This didn’t mean anything went bad, but I think I probably would have gotten a cleaner lift if I used my usual bleach. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful result, and I’m going to bring Macy back in to perfect some of those bright sections later on. This is a great example of when you really need a bit of layering and movement in your haircut to show off the color. Macy’s hair is so long, and all that beautiful color work is in there, but it just needs that cut to enhance it. I’m going to reach out to her and encourage her to have a little bit of layering and movement cut into her hair. I hope you enjoy this video and keep an eye out for the details of my colour formulas.
