World-renowned Neuropsychopharmacologist, medical doctor and chairman of Drug Science, Professor David Nutt, lifts the lid on a plant that has fuelled cultural movements, stoked international controversy, entered political discourse, and, more recently, been recognised as having a transformative effect on people’s health. Professor David Nutt is the Edmond J Safra chair in Neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London and director of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Division of Brain Sciences there. He is the chairman and founder of Drug Science, patron of 'My Death My Decision’, and is the author of 'Drugs Without the Hot Air: Minimising the Harms of Legal and Illegal Drugs’ and ‘Drink? The New Science of Alcohol and your health’. He has been featured on Newsnight, the Institute of Art and Ideas, Ross Kemp TV, London Real, Tedx, Triggernometry, Novara Media, Medlife Crisis, VICE News, Owen Jones, Peter Attia MD and Rebel Wisdom. Robin Ince is the co-presenter of Radio 4’s multiple award winning The Infinite Monkey Cage. He spent 2019 appearing across the world in the Universal tour with Brian Cox – travelling from LA to Oslo, Wellington to Aberdeen and ending up in Reykjavik after shows at the 02 and Wembley Arena.
