Ford LTD LX: The 4-door Mustang You Never Heard Of...

During the last few months of 1984, Ford dropped the Mustang's 5.0 in a boxy family sedan. The LTD was the perfect sedan for it as it shared the same underpinnings as the Mustang hence being on the Fox platform. Many fans of this car and of the platform gave it the name the four-door Mustang, but really it was the LTD LX. The Taurus SHO came out in 1989, 4 years after this beast was on the road; that says a lot. This is one of the first sleeper cars from the domestic market!
