The amazing true story of singer/actor Al Martino

A well known and successful crooner, the man known as Al Martino was much more. His backstory takes him from a working class immigrant family in Philadelphia to Iwo Jima, and to an entertainment career interrupted at its beginning by a spat with organized crime. Banished from his country, Al sustained himself in Europe for much of the 1950s and only the intercession of another mobster could he return safely to the US. His rise to prominence as a part of The Godfather series is equally fascinating.
