Technology is shaping the world’s most valuable companies. Yet most undergraduate programs still keep technology and business in separate lanes. You either study engineering and learn how to build what someone else defines. Or you study business and learn how companies run, without really understanding the technology behind them. The AI & Business program at Scaler School of Technology was designed to close that gap. It’s a 4-year residential undergraduate programme in Bangalore where students learn to build AI systems and understand how businesses scale. Programming, AI, math, economics, and communication form the foundation, but the focus is always on application. Students build products, experiment with ideas, launch small ventures, and learn directly from founders and operators who’ve built real companies. As the program progresses, the projects become more ambitious, recommendation systems, real data pipelines, AI-driven products, and go-to-market strategies that mirror how modern startups operate. In the final year, students enter Founder Mode. They take an idea from concept to MVP, test it with real users, and attempt to build a real company with mentorship, infrastructure, and seed funding support from Scaler. Some will continue building their startups. Others may pursue roles like AI engineer, product manager, or AI consultant. Either way, the goal is the same: graduate with the ability to build technology and understand the business behind it. Based in Bangalore, students are surrounded by startups, founders, and investors, so learning never happens in isolation.
