FANTASISTYKKE By Carl Nielsen Cathy A Ogram, Clarinet I try to start the year with something from the traditional repertoire. I’ve heard this piece a few times and thought it was nice medium range piece. I’m using a backing track from @Color is the Piano, the one at 76. There is also one at 68. As a backing track review, I always like the ones from Jiung Yoon. They are consistently a high audio and video quality; often come in several tempos; and he does a good job giving cues where needed. I thought in this track there was sufficient time for the cadenza, but just enough . I might have taken more time at the cadenza , but i also had to be done by his 1st chord in the Allegro.
